1/2 Kneeling High to Low Woodchops

In today’s video, we’re focusing on the Half-Kneeling High-to-Low Woodchop — a powerful exercise designed to build core strength, improve rotational stability, and enhance overall functional movement. Perfect for athletes or anyone looking to improve core control! Here’s how to do it:

Starting Position (00:00)

  • Begin in a half-kneeling position with the knee closest to the weight up and the opposite knee down.
  • Hold the handle with both hands, palms facing down.

Movement Pattern (00:06)

  1. Start with the handle near the shoulder of your raised knee.
  2. Move the handle down to chest height, keeping it steady and controlled.
  3. Finish by bringing the handle near the opposite hip.

Tips for Success (00:15)

  • Pause and hold for a 1 count at each position: shoulder, chest, and hip.
  • Keep your core braced throughout the movement.
  • Ensure your torso stays steady to avoid unnecessary rotation.
