In today’s video, we’re demonstrating the Cat/Camel Exercise — a gentle movement designed to improve spinal mobility, relieve tension, and enhance flexibility. Perfect for rehab, recovery, or maintaining a healthy spine!
How to Perform the Exercise
Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position, with your wrists under your shoulders and knees under your hips.
Cat Pose: Inhale as you arch your back upward, tucking your chin toward your chest and drawing your belly button up toward your spine.
Camel Pose: Exhale as you lower your belly toward the floor, lifting your head and tailbone to create an arch in your back.
Continue transitioning between the two poses in a smooth, controlled motion.
Tips for Success
Move slowly and with control to maximize the stretch and mobility benefits.
Focus on coordinating your breath with your movements: inhale as you arch, exhale as you round.
Keep your movements gentle and avoid forcing any position.
This exercise is excellent for increasing spinal flexibility, reducing tension, and promoting a healthy range of motion. Add it to your routine to keep your spine mobile and feeling great!
