Scaption PB Wall Stabilization Series: Support Healthy Shoulder Function

The Scaption Physio Ball (PB) Wall Stabilization Series is a smart way to enhance shoulder control, especially in a more natural and functional movement pattern. By working in the scaption plane—a slight angle forward from straight ahead—you better align with the shoulder’s preferred mechanics, making it great for rehab, prehab, or performance training.

How to Do the Scaption PB Wall Stabilization Series

Step 1: Set Up
Stand facing a wall and place your arm on a physio ball, but instead of directly in front of you, angle your arm slightly forward (about 30–45°). This is the scaption position, which mimics natural shoulder movement.

Step 2: Up & Down Movements
Roll the ball up and down in small, steady motions.

  • Reps: 10
  • Tip: Keep the movement controlled and your shoulder engaged.

Step 3: Side-to-Side Movements
Shift the ball left and right, maintaining stability in your shoulder.

  • Reps: 10

Step 4: Clockwise Circles
Move the ball in small clockwise circles.

  • Reps: 10

Step 5: Counterclockwise Circles
Reverse the direction for counterclockwise circles.

  • Reps: 10

Variation:
For added challenge, place both hands on the ball. This increases demand on both shoulder stability and core control.

This series is perfect for restoring strength, control, and coordination in a functional shoulder movement pattern — and it can be tailored to your current ability level.
